DESCRIPTION
This was founded by the Catholic Monarchs on 25 July 1490. It has a basilica layout with three naves which are laterally adjacent to two side chapels between the buttresses. The tower stands at the end of the ‘Gospel’ nave. It has a Mudejar portal with tiled spandrels and a bull header frame. There are large, Nasrid-style eaves on the façade of the aisles.
KEY ACTIONS
The construction defects currently present in the building relate to the damp in the walls and flooring, the paint and the poor facilities.
The proposed actions are intended to bring to an end and repair the state of disrepair present in the building’s walls, vaults and floors, which have been affected by the damp which is damaging the plasterwork and finishes, as well as the church’s electrical installation and PA system.
